India won the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-17 Championship by defeating Bangladesh 2-0 in the final on 28 September 2024 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan.
Mohammed Kaif scored the first goal in the 58th minute with a header from a corner delivered by Ngamgouhou Mate. In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Nazmul Huda Faysal secured India’s victory with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.
