Indian women won first-ever team title at U17 Wrestling World Championships

Indian Women’s Team won its first-ever team title with 185 points, ahead of Japan (146 points) and Kazakhstan (79 points) at Under-17 World Wrestling Championship in Amman, Jordan, (Aug 19-25, 2024).

Indian women team win eight medals, including five gold, one silver and three bronze. Aditi Kumari (43kg), Neha Sangwan (57kg), Pulkit (65kg), Mansi Lather (73kg) and Kajal(69kg) had won Gold in their respective categories.

Total Medals for India: India won a total of 10 medals in the championship, including two bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling.
