The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar, Asia’s largest tulip garden, opened on March 16, 2026, marking the beginning of the Kashmir Tulip Festival 2026. Spread across 74 acres at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range overlooking Dal Lake, the garden features over 1.8 million tulips in 70–75 varieties, creating a vibrant spring attraction.
The festival showcases Kashmiri culture, music, handicrafts, and cuisine, and signals the start of the tourist season in Kashmir. Established in 2007, the garden plays a key role in boosting tourism and the local economy, attracting visitors from across India and abroad.
