Neeraj Chopra finished second in the Men’s Javelin Throw Final at the Diamond League in Brussels on 14 September 2024, with a throw of 87.86m. He missed the top spot by just 1 cm, with Anderson Peters (Paris Olympics bronze medallist) winning with 87.87m. Julian Weber of Germany finished third with a throw of 85.97m.
This is Neeraj’s second consecutive runner-up finish in the Diamond League. In 2023, Neeraj lost to Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic, with a throw of 83.80m compared to Vadlejch’s winning distance of 84.24m.
