The 2023 World Veterinary Day will be held on 29 April 2023 and will celebrate the efforts of veterinarians, veterinary associations and others to advocate for fairness and equality. Every year, on the last Saturday of April, WVD is celebrated with a different theme. A diverse world requires a special focus on removing barriers and improving inclusivity through diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and practices. The well-being of all veterinarians is enhanced when diversity, equity, and inclusion are promoted and enforced.

World Veterinary Day also brings together the global veterinary community and helps them to get proper help. World Veterinary Day (WVD) was first established on 29 April 2000 at the initiative of the World Veterinary Association (WVA). The day provides an excellent opportunity to acknowledge and value the remarkable contributions of veterinarians to the community and to raise awareness of veterinary medicine.
