On 27 May 2025, India’s Gulveer Singh won the gold medal in the Men’s 10,000-metre race at the Asian Athletics Championships held in Gumi, South Korea, with a time of 28 minutes 38.63 seconds.
Earlier in the day, Servin Sebasthiyan secured India’s first medal of the tournament by winning bronze in the men’s 20 km race walk, clocking 1 hour, 21 minutes, and 13.6 seconds. Wang Zhaozhao of China won gold, and Kento Yoshikawa of Japan took silver in the same event. Another Indian athlete, Amit, finished fifth in the race walk.
