- In a major move aimed at enhancing cooperation between the Indian Navy and the Royal Saudi Naval Force, cadets of the Royal Saudi Naval Force are in India for 24 days of sea training.
- Fifty-five cadets from the King Fahd Naval Academy, Saudi Arabia, arrived in Kochi, the headquarters of India’s Southern Naval Command, this week as part of their maiden training with the Indian Navy.
- 55 cadets along with five directing staff from King Fahd Naval Academy, Saudi Arabia arrived onboard 1st Training Squadron (1TS) ships, INS Tir and INS Sujatha at Kochi on 16 May, 2023 as part of afloat training with the Indian Navy.
- Warm welcome was extended to the International Trainees by Captain Sarvpreet Singh, Senior Officer, 1TS.
- A detailed briefing on the training modules and activities planned during afloat training was given to the trainees as well as the guidance staff.
