Director Shyam Benegal’s film ‘Manthan,’ inspired by the milk cooperative movement of Verghese Kurien, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival on 18 May 2024.
- The 1976 film, restored in 4K, is the only Indian film to be featured in the Cannes Classic section this year.
- The restoration was carried out by the Film Heritage Foundation, led by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur.
