Date of launch :
The Agnipath scheme was announced by the defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 14th June 2022.
Objective :
- The Scheme is a recruitment process launched by the Central Government in which selected candidates will be enrolled as Agniveer in the Indian Armed Forces for a period of four years.
- Those people who will be recruited under this scheme will be called Agniveer.
- The recruitment of Agni Veers will not be for ever but they will get a chance to serve in the Indian Army only for 4 years.
