- The first batch of pilgrims took off from Bhopal airport on 21 May to go to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. A batch of 32 pilgrims has left for Prayagraj by Indigo flight.
- The pilgrims include 24 men and 8 women. Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana is one of the major schemes of the BJP government in the state.
- This scheme was started in the year 2012. So far, more than 7.80 lakh elderly people have performed pilgrimage by special trains.
