Murali Sreeshankar Claims Third Place in Paris Diamond League Long Jump

Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar achieved a notable third place in the Paris Diamond League. He jumped 8.09m, securing his first podium finish in the prestigious event held on 11 June 2023. Sreeshankar’s best jump came on his third attempt.

Miltiadis Tentoglou from Greece took first place with a jump of 8.13m, followed by Simon Ehammer from Switzerland with 8.11m, just ahead of Sreeshankar.

This accomplishment makes him only the third Indian athlete, after Neeraj Chopra and Vikas Gowda, to finish in the top three of a Diamond League competition.
