Rescue operations underway in Uttarakhand tunnel collapse

The under-construction Silkyara-Barkot tunnel on the Yamunotri National Highway in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district collapsed at dawn on November 12, 2023. The collapse trapped at least 40 workers inside the tunnel.

The rescue operation is still ongoing, and the workers are being contacted through the supply tunnel drilled into the rubble.
